So Steve and I love to travel and the "plan" for travel this year was to go to Paris and London in the Fall and then we'd start trying to have a baby after that. Well, God had another plan. So since we will be vacationing at the hospital in the fall instead of Europe, we decided we need a Babymoon before then. We wanted to do a relaxing, romantic, pre-baby trip just the 2 of us. We headed to the Ritz Carlton resort Kapalua, Maui. It was awesome. Secluded, warm, beautiful, perfect. We rented a Mustang convertible (totally impractical for a carseat so this will likely be the last chance), ate out a nice dinners each night, laid by the pool or beach during the day, had a long spa day with couples body scrubs and massages, golfed and hiked.
Connor had a great time, he was doing flips in my belly. Actually one night we watched Connor kicking like crazy "out of" my belly, think Alien movie. I sported the baby bump at the pool in my bikini, even though it may have been a fashion no-no, I didn't care. The funny thing is, we will be going back to Maui with Connor in March for a friend's wedding, but I have a feeling that trip will be a bit different than this one.
